ABOUT DR. MCCRAY
Dr. Ayanna Johnson McCray is a board certified pediatrician who has been practicing for 15 years. She is excited to return to King George county where she has been seeing children since 2006.
Dr. McCray is a proud graduate of Virginia Union University. She completed medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School and her residency at University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina in Greenville, NC. After spending her residency in North Carolina she longed to return home to Virginia to practice rural medicine. She grew up in nearby Spotsylvania county and gets a kick out of seeing former sports rivals in her practice.
Dr. McCray lives in Henrico county with her husband and son. She enjoys spending time with her family at sporting events and playing video games. She spends her commute engrossed in audiobooks or educational lectures.
She looks forward to bringing quality healthcare to the younger population of King George and the surrounding counties. She has formed meaningful bonds with many families and looks to establish many more with new families. She believes it takes a village to raise a child and feels honored to be a part of that village along with the families, schools, daycare providers and community programs. Her plan is to provide a medical home that keeps pace with healthcare’s constantly changing landscape.
Laqueshia Pratt
Certified Medical Assistant
Laqueshia (Quee) is a King George native. She has been with New Heights Pediatrics for over a year. Quee is a mother to a boy and an auntie to 16 children. She enjoys coming to work each day, seeing new and familiar faces. Her passion is patient care and working with children. In her free time, she enjoys shopping and spending time with family.
Tracey Wray
Receptionist
Tracey is a King George native and has worked in healthcare for over 25 years. She and her husband share 8 children and 13 grandchildren. She enjoys dining out, shopping and spending time with family. Tracey looks forward to seeing returning patients and meeting new families.
Simone Foxx
Practice Manager
Simone joined our practice in 2021. She studied Health Sciences at Mary Baldwin University. She has an extensive background in Customer Relations, Marketing, Public Health and Healthcare Management She oversees the financial and executive aspects of the practice. Simone has two daughters, whom she adores. During her spare time, she loves to play the piano and spend time with loved ones. Simone looks forward to serving existing families and welcoming new patients while continuing to offer impeccable patient satisfaction!
